Psychiatry Website Revamp

for Psychiatry Clinic

When Dr. Rajpar and Salma Pardhan approached me, they had no logo, no website, and no clear vision of how to present their new psychiatry practice, Climbing Mountains. What they did have was a mission: to create a practice that symbolized resilience and hope, helping patients overcome challenges.

The challenge was twofold:

  1. Create a brand identity  from scratch that embodied their mission.
  2. Design a website that was professional, intuitive, and communicated their services effectively—despite their uncertainty about how they wanted it to look or what content to include.

This project was more than just design—I needed to help guide them toward clarity and direction.

I worked as both a designer and a collaborator, helping them articulate their vision while creating:

  • A logo and brand identity that captured the essence of Climbing Mountains.
  • A responsive, easy-to-navigate website tailored to their needs and their audience.

How We Did It

The first step was creating their logo and visual identity. I worked closely with Dr. Rajpar and Salma to understand their goals and values.

  • The Logo: Inspired by the metaphor of “climbing mountains,” I designed a logo featuring a simple, clean symbol that represents growth and resilience.
  • The Colors and Fonts: A calming palette of greens and cream paired with modern typography to evoke trust, professionalism, and hope.

When I presented the branding, they were thrilled. This strong collaboration built trust, and they asked me to move forward with designing their website.

Since they didn’t have a clear idea of what they wanted the website to be, I took the lead:

  • Content Strategy: I worked with them to identify what was essential for patients and partners to know: their mission, services, and contact details.

  • Information Architecture: I structured the website into simple sections:
    • About Us: To introduce their mission and values.
    • Services: To outline their offerings clearly.
    • Contact: To make it easy for patients to reach out.
  • Once the content structure was in place, I designed a responsive website with:

    • Clear Call-to-Actions (CTAs): Buttons like “Book an Appointment” to guide users effectively.
    • Welcoming Visuals: Soft colors and clean layouts to create a calming and professional tone.
    • Accessibility in Mind: Ensuring the design was intuitive for all users.

From a blank slate, we built a cohesive brand and website that Climbing Mountains could proudly launch.

  • Brand Identity: A logo and visual design that represent resilience and hope.
  • Professional Website: A responsive, easy-to-use platform for patients and partners.
  • Positive feedback from the clients: “This is exactly what we wanted, even though we didn’t know where to start!”

This project reminded me how powerful collaboration and creativity can be. Guiding clients from uncertainty to a brand and website they loved was incredibly fulfilling. Starting from scratch and delivering something that truly represented their mission of resilience and hope made this work deeply rewarding.

Through this process, I learned:

  • How to guide clients who are unsure of their vision toward clarity and direction.
  • The importance of adapting to platform constraints while delivering impactful results.
  • That collaboration is key to creating designs that feel personal and meaningful, both to clients and their audience.
